AB3 and next OBBC Contest

1st OBBC Ladder Contest next Sunday 20th May 8.30 start 

AB3 Well the Anything But 3 contest held last Saturday at Ocean Beach in small but rippable surf was a total success. With top calibre surfers from around the country we were treated to a great show and the weather couldnt have performed better.

Huge thanks to all of you who helped out on the day, our contest skills were much appreciated. As a fundraiser the club did very well, big thanks to the Ocean Beach Surf Lifesavers for the lend of their facilities, it was a great place to run a contest from. Thanks also for those who supplied yummy food to keep everyone going. Mike Plant from Classic Hits kept us all entertained as well as competing.     Results are published in Wednesdays Advocate, congratulations to Lee Orton and Denise Piper who came 2nd and 4th respectively in the womans and Flynn Hart who was placed 4th in the junior section. Other OBBC members who did well are Tim Peers, Heather Easterbrook, Clinton Ashill, Rupert Newbold, Ryan Uffindell and Bodhi Van der Ent. More pics in the gallery soon

The Smorgasboard Contest sponsored by The Surf Emporium held on the 21st April was a great fun contest, thanks to all the participants, judges and helpers. We had good conditions (the odd squall didnt dampen the enthusiasm) and fun little waves with some very odd boards to ride. Taking out the final was 1st Flynn, 2d Mike, 3rd Lee, 4th Denise. Plate final winner was Rupert with Barney 2d, Dylan 3rd and Ryan 4th Check out the gallery for more pics
